Our Mission

We at Garment Hub have a passion for sustainable fashion. We believe that the fashion industry can have a positive impact on our world, treading lightly on the earth and supporting all of those involved in the clothing supply chain. We also envision a world where people are emotionally connected to the clothes that they wear and find pleasure in the experience of opening their wardrobe. There's nothing worse than rummaging through a dresser full of ill-fitting or undesirable clothing and feeling like you have nothing to wear! If you can relate to this, please reach out to us - we would love to help you!

Garment Hub offers a range of services. You can hire one of our consultants to perform a “closet makeover” to help you refine your personal style and curate a wardrobe that serves your soul. We can also assist you with any mending or alteration needs that you may have or can even work with you to up-cycle a meaningful or sentimental piece into something that is modern and wearable. You may also like to work with us to design a new garment from scratch using sustainable and responsibly produced fabrics from the local textile mills that we partner with. We also partner with some of our local California design schools to provide real life opportunities for fashion students, allowing them to earn credit by working with us, and creating an environment for them to showcase their skills.

Our commitment to excellent service and craftsmanship, combined with our unwavering dedication to sustainability will not only leave you feeling better about your wardrobe choices, but will also provide you with the satisfaction of knowing that you've contributed to your community, to local artists and entrepreneurs, and to the health and well-being of our planet! We are always available to chat, no strings attached, so feel free to drop us a line for a free consultation!

Stacey Oliver, Founder

Stacey Oliver, Founder

From the time she was in elementary school, our founder Stacey Oliver knew she wanted to work in the fashion industry. Her mother and grandmothers taught her to sew, crochet, knit and embroider from a young age, and she and her best friend Sofia used to put on fashion shows for their parents. When Stacey graduated from high school, she wanted to go to design school but changed course and completed a degree in Spanish at the University of Washington after becoming aware of how toxic the fashion industry is - both from an environmental point-of-view and for the millions of (predominantly female) garment workers the world over.

Several years later Stacey’s dream of working in fashion began to call to her again, only this time it brought new promise along with it. She was introduced to the small yet quickly growing industry of sustainable fashion. Finally, she was able to marry her desire to care for the planet with her dream of working in fashion. Stacey returned to school, completing a Master’s Degree in Strategic Design and Management at Parsons (as featured on Project Runway). Stacey founded Garment Hub in 2018 and is currently focused on developing the business and helping to make sustainable fashion more attainable and accessible to ordinary people.
